Spain

I haven’t written in 6 months and I can’t believe how fast the time has gone. I went on Spring break, finished out the school year, went home for the summer and am now back and starting on “Year 2”! Here’s a quick update on life over the last few months, and I’ll try to be better at updating again.

I’ve never been to Europe before, so I was pretty excited to be heading to Spain for Spring Break.

I was lucky enough that my break matched up with the break at my old school district, so I met up with my old teaching partner/friend John.

We visited Valencia, Barcelona and Playa de Mallorca (an island off the coast). Despite the rainy weather, we enjoyed hours of walking on cobblestone streets and admiring the lifestyle.

At 1:00AM the streets were filled with people, even families with kids. Life seemed so laid back and it felt so good to hear/attempt to speak Spanish again.

It was a fun trip, not as adventurous as some, but Spain would be a wonderful place/atmosphere to live in.

After leaving the often chaotic lifestyle of Lagos it was so enjoyable to sit in one of many little corner coffee shops or pubs.

Check out the pictures of Flamenco Dancing/my obsession with the self cleaning, water shooting outhouse/Gaudi artwork, etc.
